Privacy Policy

Shozy ("Shozy," "we," "us," or "our") provides a property showing scheduling platform for independent landlords and the renters they work with. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and — most importantly — who we do and don't share it with.

1. Information we collect

Landlord account information: name, email address, phone number, password, time zone, and the property details you add (address, photos, availability, pricing).

Renter information: name and phone number provided when scheduling or confirming a showing, the showing date/time, and any messages exchanged about that showing.

Usage information: basic log data (IP address, browser, pages visited) and the cookies necessary to keep you signed in — we do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to operate the showing scheduling flow (booking, confirmation, reminders), verify phone numbers, send account and billing notifications, provide customer support, and improve the service.

3. How we share information

Landlord information is shared only with the renters who book a showing on that landlord's property — solely so the renter can get in touch about that showing. We do not sell or share landlord information with any other third party, and never for marketing purposes.

Renter information is shared only with the landlord of the specific property the renter is scheduling a showing for. We do not share renter information with any other landlord, or with any third party.

Service providers: we use a small number of vendors to operate Shozy — for example Telnyx (SMS delivery), Stripe (payment processing), and our email delivery provider. These vendors only receive the information needed to perform their service and are contractually prohibited from using it for their own marketing purposes.

We do not sell personal information. We will only disclose information beyond the above if required by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena).

4. Text messaging (SMS) communications

If you provide a phone number and verify it through Shozy, you may receive SMS text messages related to your account and your showings, including: verification codes, showing confirmations, reminders, and cancellations, and replies related to a specific showing conversation.

We will never send marketing or promotional text messages to any phone number collected through Shozy. Every message we send relates directly to an account action or a specific showing you're party to.

Message frequency varies depending on your activity (for example, how many showings you book or manage). Message and data rates may apply.

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message — we will stop sending you texts immediately. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@shozy.com.

No mobile phone number or opt-in data collected for text messaging will be shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You can review and update your account information at any time from Settings, opt out of email notifications from Settings, and opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. To delete your account, contact hello@shozy.com.

8. Children's privacy

Shozy is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above.
